NiCd Rechargeable battery?
I have an old rechargeable NiCd battery I need to replace. I can find equivalent NiCd batteries with the same voltage rating but the mAhr are 3 times more and the standard charge is 10 times the mA rating.
I figure the higher mAhr just means it will last longer once fully charged. But I am concerned whether the standard charge rating is the current the battery actually draws during charging or is the just the preferred acceptable. current that can be passed through it.
IF the later then I guess I can use the newer battery but it will take longer to charge.
The original battery is 3.6V, 90mAhr and 3.3mA standard charge.
The new battery is 3.6V, 300mAhr, and 30mA.
Any ideas if this will be acceptable?
You are right, it will work fine, just take longer to charge.
