Bathroom Faucets For Both Decor And Function
Bathroom faucets are very important as functional fixtures in your bath, but they also add much to the decor of your bath. Faucet finishes are also about both style and function
Faucet sets can be found in very contemporary styles and also traditional and even vintage or Victorian.
Chrome has been at the top of the popularity list for many years, and is still among the popular choices today. Many prefer it's shiny and tarnish resistant surface. The downside is that is does need frequent cleaning to retain it's polished look.

Types of faucet installation
All faucets no longer reside on the sink itself. With the increase in vessel, or above counter sinks, other installations are gaining popularity. There are faucets that are wall mounted with longer necks. These are often referred to as vessel fillers.
There are other faucets that are mounted to the countertop rather than on the sink itself. Both these and the faucets that mount on the sink are also available in the long necked versions.
the faucet you select will depend on your personal preference in style and finish, but also will depend on what type of sink you are installing.
Faucets also come in centerset, which is both handles and spout centered on a single base. Widespread, where handles and spout are mounted to the sink or countertop individually, and single lever faucets where the spout and lever that controls both hot and cold water are one single unit.
Choosing a faucet is no longer an easy choice with all the diversity that is available today, but taking the time to shop around for both your new sink and faucet can lead you to a very distinctive look that is not likely duplicated by anyone you know.

How do I tell what kind of bathroom faucet I have?
Is it just based on looking at it? Because I can't tell much difference between 4" Centerset and 4" Minispread. I'm trying to replace my cheap faucets but I don't want to buy something that won't fit.
