Water does not flow evenly from Bathroom Sink Faucets...? What part am I missing?
Water doesn't flow straight out from my bathroom sink faucets -- it flows out and back and all over the place, causing it to get all over the sink and grow tons of mold. I was told it would be a simple repair -- and that I am only missing a small part thet goes in the faucet to focus the water flow... But I do not know what this part is called or how to install it. Any advice, please, please???

Its called an aerator, and it is supposed to be easy, and sometmes is, and other times it would make you want to smack your mother. I am no plumber, but I have changed my share of aerators and quite honestly I almost prefer changing out the entire faucet. It is a little more work, but it has ben my experience that changing the entire unit yields better results. The areator is seeded in the cap at the tip of your faucet(where the water comes out) some of the problems I have experienced when trying to replace only the aeroator have been
stripping the threads from the cap that holds the aerator
coming home from he store with the wrong size aerator
having the water flow not change at all after installing a new aerator
it really shouldn't be that difficult of a job, but..........
